I recently photographed this sweet little angel. She was pure newborn perfection. Her daddy is a fire fighter, a real-life hero. This session had special meaning to me because my very own baby brother is also a fireman and is also expecting a baby girl. Thank you to all the firefighters and police officers who risk their lives on a daily basis to protect ours.

I photographed this gorgeous baby girl when she was just a newborn so I was thrilled to see her again and take her one year photos. Although she didn’t particularly like the grass on her bare feet, she did love her pink gum balls and her big smiles and laughter laced with excitement were just precious! Happy birthday beautiful Sienna!

Sweet Penny, the mini Golden Doodle, sure has the life! I enjoy following her recently-created Instagram page @travelingpenny to see all her latest shenanigans. Her mom and I were able to coordinate a last minute photo session while they were visiting San Diego during a golf tournament. Penny was so sweet and behaved like “one of the girls” as we toured parts of the city and had lunch at Hotel Del in Coronado followed by a coffee break in La Jolla. The next day was photo session day and Penny rocked it for the camera! I hope you enjoy seeing this photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!

This session was such a fun one for me to do…and to think it almost didn’t happen! It had rained pretty much non-stop for 2 1/2 days. The forecast called for rain on the day of the session as well with a brief window of time where the chances of rain were pretty slim before it spiked up again. We decided to go for it and take our chances and I’m so glad we did! The lighting was surreal but we had to move quickly because it wouldn’t stay that way long. Photographing this beautiful mom and her precious baby girl in celebration of their first Mother’s Day together is why I love doing what I do. To know that these images will be looked at for years to come to commemorate a special time in their lives is so rewarding for me. We wrapped up as soon as we felt some drops falling from the sky and even took the last shot as it was actually raining! Gotta love april showers and the magic it brings along with them!
